SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: High school English teachers plan and deliver effective instruction from a biblical worldview to students in grades 9–12, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking. They teach literature, grammar, and composition; guide students in analyzing texts and developing arguments; and assess student learning through essays, exams, and projects, providing timely feedback to support improvement. Additionally, they manage the classroom environment, differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, align lessons with Southside Christian School's curriculum standards, and foster a lifelong appreciation for language and literature.
