Design and Modeling Teacher

Grand Rapids Christian Middle School is seeking a teacher for a new Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Gateway Design & Modeling course for seventh and eighth-grade students.

In this hands-on course, students discover the design process and develop an understanding of how creativity and innovation shape the world around them. Through sketching, modeling, collaboration, and problem-solving, students apply what they learn to a meaningful design challenge as they create a therapeutic toy for a child.

We are looking for a teacher who is curious, loves learning, and is excited to try something new. The ideal candidate does not need prior experience teaching PLTW. Grand Rapids Christian Schools will provide and pay for the PLTW training needed to prepare the teacher in both the curriculum and instructional methodology. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who enjoys guiding students through discovery, design thinking, and collaborative learning.
