Position Overview:

Houston Christian (HC) is seeking a qualified and dedicated Registered Nurse to serve as a part-time School Nurse in a job-share opportunity. This exempt position is expected to work approximately 2-3 days per week and will report directly to the Executive Director of Business Affairs. Working collaboratively within a job-share arrangement, you will play a vital role in providing preventative health services, conducting health assessments, delivering nursing care, and facilitating referrals for the students of Houston Christian High School. This position also holds responsibility for the oversight and administration of the School Nurse Clinic.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nursing (RN) license with the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Current AED/CPR certification.
• Experience in community health or school nursing preferred.
• Excellent English verbal, visual, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Mail, and SNAP (School Nurse Assistant Program) is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, diplomacy, and initiative.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Flexibility, a sense of humor, and a willingness to complete administrative tasks.
• A high regard for maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to represent the school in a positive and professional manner.
• A demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of Houston Christian High School.
