Early Education Pre-K 2 or Pre-K 3 Teacher, Full-Time

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Pre-K teachers must be spiritually and professionally equipped with an understanding of early childhood education and development. Early Ed teachers must be sensitive, mature, and able to relate well to both children and adults.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively manage a classroom.
• Teach all early education from a biblical worldview and with excellence.
• Create an engaging, relational, and joy-filled learning environment with the students.
• Provide excellence in planning, teamwork, and communication.
• Be creative, have a strong work ethic, and think "outside the box".
• Work in a team-centered environment.
• Include biblical integration in all subjects.
• Engage students in inquiry-based activities.
• Other duties or responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

 QUALIFIED APPLICANTS:

• Must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ; be involved with an evangelical, protestant church of like faith and practice; and agree with the philosophies, Statement of Faith, and Statement of Christian Life Commitment of Southside Christian School.
• Have a commitment to the mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of Christian schooling as expressed by Southside Christian School demonstrated by their eligible children enrolled in Southside Christian School.
• Bachelor's degree in early education.
• Candidates with experience in teaching early education is preferred.
• All candidates must be willing to obtain ACSI certification and maintain DSS training hours
• Strong communication and presentation skills are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to provide toileting assistance, playground supervision and activities, and lifting as appropriate/required.
• Ability to evacuate students in the event of emergency.
• Able to sit, bend, stand, and maintain stamina when interacting with students.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to lift and hold children as needed.
