Position: Elementary Teacher
Responsible to: Elementary Principal
Hours: 10 month employee, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications:
● A deep faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and acceptance of the authority
of Scriptures as a guide for faith and living
o Actively pursues spiritual growth through personal devotions, Bible study,
church involvement, etc.
● Understand and actively support The Christ School mission, vision, and defining
characteristics
● Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university
● Proficiency in GoogleSuite (docs, sheets, gmail, calendar)
● Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
● Demonstrate professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the job
● Must be able to effectively traverse possibly uneven ground
● Must be able to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs and transport about
10-15 pounds
The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in education and at least 5 years of
experience, preferably in an independent, Christian school.

standards and utilizing differentiated strategies to meet the needs of all
learners.
● Student Engagement: Foster a stimulating classroom environment that promotes
curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem solving.
● Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess student progress through
formative and summative methods, providing timely and detailed feedback to
encourage student growth.
● Learning Environment: Consistently implement procedures and expectations that
promote self-control and respect, while creating a warm, nurturing learning
environment.
● Model Christ-Centered Behavior: Embody Christian values, modeling a Christ-like
attitude in and out of the classroom while promoting spiritual growth and
Biblical teachings throughout lessons.
● Collaborate with Colleagues: Engage in meaningful collaboration with colleagues
across grade levels and subjects, sharing ideas and resources to enhance
instructional practices and student outcomes.
● Partner with Parents: Cultivate strong relationships with parents. Communicate
regularly regarding student progress, classroom activities, and upcoming events,
fostering a partnership to support student learning.
● Commit to Professional Growth: Demonstrate a passion for continuous
professional development, consistently looking for ways to improve.
● Contribute to School Community: Actively participate in school events,
improvement efforts, and extracurricular activities, enhancing student
experiences beyond the classroom.
