Required Qualifications:

  • Passion for serving God in the context of education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Education, or related field
  • Valid Teaching Certificate 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of successful teaching experience as an Art Teacher
  • Prior experience in an international school
  • Master’s Degree in Art, Education or related field
  • Understanding of Common Core Standards



Role Specific Responsibilities:

  • Teach 5 Middle School and High School Art Elective Courses
  • Assess students’ skills to determine their needs and to develop teaching plans 
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students 
  •  Demonstrates a strong grasp of key concepts, artistic methods, and the structure of visual arts, effectively teaching this knowledge and helping students find meaning in the subject.
  • Shows commitment to christian education and upholds the school’s mission, vision, and philosophy while actively promoting the school’s core virtues in students.
  • Engages every student in age-appropriate learning experiences that support artistic, intellectual, and character growth.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with students, parents, staff, leadership, and the wider community to support student learning and well-being.
  • Uses effective instructional practices that encourage high student achievement, incorporating strategies such as active learning, hands-on tasks, and meaningful teacher-student interaction.
  • Integrates appropriate technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Other duties as assigned
