Job Title:                 Upper School Math Teacher - Emphasis in Personal Finance & Business

Category:                Faculty; Part Time (Approx 35% FTE (10-20 hours/week)); Salary; Exempt

Reports To:              Upper School Principal

Salary:                      $ 16,745 - 29,216 DOE

Summary: Instructs students in the subject of math, with an emphasis in Personal Finance & Business, by performing essential teaching duties, assuring that the mission of the schools is supported. Models a servant’s heart and promotes an attitude of respect, teamwork and professionalism by speaking well of other faculty and staff members; supporting our entire school system-lower school, middle school, upper school; praying for and with other faculty and staff; encouraging others in Godly living and excellence; lovingly holding others accountable; actively pursuing ways to encourage members of the schools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Instructs students by engaging them in the learning process through a wide variety of instructional strategies, including lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations
• Understands different learning styles and incorporates multiple styles in teaching
• Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of the school
• Assigns lessons and corrects homework, quizzes, tests, projects, etc. in a timely manner
• Administers tests to evaluate pupil progress, records results, and issues reports to inform parents of progress
• Uses assessments to direct teaching
