Position:  Assistant Director of Early Learning

Reports To: Director of Early Learning

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Early Learning Center utilizing MPCS processes, procedures, and policies
  • Know and implement Mount Pisgah Christian School’s policies and procedures
  • Maintain open communication with parents, staff, and children
  • Improve effectiveness of the staff, including knowing, educating, and implementing the State Child Care Licensing Standards as they apply to the daily operation of the School and complying with local fire department and state health department regulations
  • Implement and supervise programs which follow the School’s philosophy, educational goals, standards and procedures. This includes coordination with the Preschool on both curriculum and enrollment.
  • Motivate and mentor staff of the Early Learning Center
  • Consistently and intentionally work to increase enrollment for the Early Learning Center
  • Improve/maintain a positive image of the School
  • Provide parent participation/community relations opportunities
  • Expand knowledge and training of staff, this includes continually providing creative opportunities for professional development
  • Know and implement Mount Pisgah Christian School’s policies and procedures
  • Keep records that pertain to the administration of the School by applicable state laws and Mount Pisgah Christian School policies
  • Possess education and experience to run and manage an efficient and loving environment for Mount Pisgah alongside the Preschool Director
  • Exhibit behaviors which show the ability to learn and adapt in order to increase productivity and profitability of the School

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childcare Education or related degree, Master’s degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a licensed Childcare Center.
  • A mission-driven individual who demonstrates an eagerness to serve in a faith-based academic environment & genuine ability to connect with and serve young people in a Christian community. 
  • Communications: Effective written, verbal, and editing communication skills.   Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Collaboration: Has a student-centered focus and the ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners.

  • Occasionally work nights and weekends in support of departmental school activities.
