Middle School Learning Specialist

Wesleyan School is a K - 12 Christian school of academic excellence, committed to a diverse faculty and student body supported by a director of diversity and division coordinators. Wesleyan is a full activity school located in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, a northeastern suburb of Atlanta, with opportunities for students to participate in athletics and the arts. This open position for the 2025-2026 school year is for a middle school learning specialist. The middle school learning specialist is responsible for supporting students with mild to moderate learning differences in acquiring the necessary skills to be independent learners in Wesleyan’s academically rigorous environment. In addition to providing small group, one-on-one, and in-class support, the middle school learning specialist will collaborate with general classroom teachers to provide guidance in supporting students and appropriately applying accommodations. To facilitate a team approach, the learning specialist will effectively communicate with administration, faculty, and parents on students’ academic support needs. Additionally, the middle school learning specialist will assist in providing ongoing professional development to faculty on best practices for intervention and differentiation instruction strategies.
