Position: Marketing & Communications Associate Reports To: Director of Marketing & Communications

Position Status: Full-Time, 12 Months The Marketing & Communications Associate is responsible for supporting and coordinating a consistent school message aligned with the mission of St. Paul Christian Academy for the school community, alumni, media, and general public.

The Marketing & Communications Associate will support the Director of Marketing & Communications through drafting and sending internal and external communications, provide graphic design support, help maintain social media channels, and help maintain the St. Paul website and other marketing and communications resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the Advancement Team (Marketing, Admissions, and Development Departments).
  • Collaborate with administrators and all school departments.
  • In consultation with the Director of Marketing & Communications, develop and implement an annual strategic marketing plan, communication plan, and calendar focused on recruitment, re-recruitment, development, and community awareness.
  • Assure consistency with the St. Paul brand in all internal and external communications and refine the school style guide as needed.
  • Maintain St. Paul’s website and social media for relevancy, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Provide graphic design support for digital and print publications, including St. Paul’s bi-annual magazine (Spotlight) as well as materials for admissions and advancement.
  • Support all school-wide communications, including but not limited to maintaining a communications calendar.
  • Ensure that information on all school platforms, signage, etc., presents a targeted message and remains current.
  • Work cooperatively with other Advancement Team members for event planning and implementation.
  • Support the Parent Council and all communications and graphic requests.
  • Maintain a catalog of historical images alongside the school photographer.

Requirements: 

  • Professes a saving faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and accepts the authority of scripture as a guide for faith and living
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or Communications
  • Minimum of one year of successful, proven experience in marketing and communication, preferably at an independent/Christian school or other non-profit organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Self-directed, energetic, and proactive
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Creative, flexible, and energetic colleague sensitive to the mission-driven history of the school
