Campus Aide Substitute
Part Time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Elementary Assistant Principal
Education/Experience Required/Preferred: A High School Diploma degree is required.

Salary: $16.04/hr

 

General Responsibilities 

The Campus Aide Substitute provides support and supervision to students before and/or after school hours and during recesses and lunch with an emphasis on the safety and the well-being of each individual student on a substitute basis.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Monitors student behavior before and/or after school, at recess and at the lunch area
  • Enforces school policies and procedures
  • Performs safety checks of playground and lunch areas and informs appropriate departments of possible hazards
  • Corrects improper behavior and reports major infractions to the proper  teacher and/or administrator
  • Develops trusting relationships with students, parents, and other staff
  • Provides support for classroom teachers as needed
  • Communicates appropriately with teachers and administrators regarding student behavior
  • Maintains confidentiality of student information, behavior, and discipline issues

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
  • Must be able to traverse school facility and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency

  • Experience working with Elementary aged children in a school or church setting
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Minimum education: High School Diploma

This position reports directly to the Elementary Assistant Principal.

This is a substitute position, so hours will vary over the course of the school year.
