The school social worker assists students with academic learning by providing strategic services that identify and address the social-emotional-environmental issues that interfere with the educational process.  Working with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and community-based resources, the school social worker implements strategies that promote students’ positive school adjustment. The social worker is assigned to each campus based upon each individual building’s decision to allocate their budget resources to the position as determined by the needs of the student population.
