Primary Objective:

The communications project coordinator supports the enrollment management division's day-to-day operations, activities, and calendars by serving as a project manager and critical support person for the work of the team. With a keen eye for detail and strong administrative skills, this person partners with the school community to develop key marketing, communication, and event programming to support the enrollment of the school.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Support communications team by coordinating project assignments and roles through team platforms such as Monday.com and Asana.
  • Inform team members of assigned responsibilities and follow up with team members to ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in monitoring school-wide activities and maintaining the communications calendar, informing the team as needed.
  • Build and maintain team meeting agendas.
  • Assist the directors of enrollment management and communications with internal communication including presentations, mailings, and emails.
  • Manage proofing of designs and redesigns, seeking out feedback from internal stakeholders.
  • Manage print requests, sandwich board creation, and reservation system.
  • Assist with curating and writing content for the school newsletter, WolfPack Weekly.
  • Maintain an inventory of all collateral materials used by the Enrollment Management Office and handle purchase orders and vendor relationships for the department.
  • Ensure brand standards are consistent in all print and digital output.
  • Have a creative eye for photography and social media content creation, actively contributing to our social media forecast.
  • Think conceptually and creatively to produce new ideas for the school brand, always looking to creatively push the boundaries of what has been done in the past.
  • Evaluate external trends for inspiration and design ideas.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
  • Support the setup, execution, and breakdown of enrollment management events as needed.
  • Proactively support the enrollment management team through anticipation of team needs and other duties as assigned.

Required Professional and Personal Attributes, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, event management, or communications preferred.
  • Communications and project management experience preferred
  • Proactive work ethic
  • Hospitality as a primary skill set
  • Able to work closely and effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent writing, editing, grammar, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with independent schools is preferred.
  • Embrace a strong commitment to Christian education and academic excellence consistent with the mission of Whitefield Academy.

In addition, the person should:

  • Be actively involved in a local church.

Work for this position will primarily take place in an office.
